In an upsetting end to one of the highest-profile murder probes in Jamaican history, Police Commissioner Lucius Thomas stated that the 58-year-old Woolmer died because natural causes. Authorities reached their end up after getting views from independent pathologists in Britain, South Africa and Canada and reviewing a toxicology statement, Thomas said a packed news conference in the Jamaican capital.
“The Jamaican Constabulary Force agrees these findings and has now ended its inquiry into the death of Mr. Bob Woolmer,” he pointed, adding that it would be left to coroners to report on the reason of death. The declaration ended a globe-spanning investigation in that authorities interviewed about 400 people and collected DNA samples and fingerprints from dozens of potential observers, including members of the Pakistan cricket squad and other teams.
