How to choose bats?

These days the IPL fever is on with high spirits, both in South Africa and India, people are resorting to the cricket bats that offer them power so that they could also join their hands in the IPL. First and foremost we need to understand that there are different types of bats available, the bats based on their weight, bats on the type of handle they possess, the location of a sweet spot and the size of the bat. Some of the tips that can help you to buy the cricket equipments are as follows:

Weight: There are two sizes of bats available bats based on the weight heavier and lighter bats. The heavier bats specialize in delivering more power even if you not hit them from the middle it will serve the purpose and the lighter bats will offer you scope to swing the bat, thus increasing the scope to slide the ball through the middle of the bat.

Handle: The handle choices are oval handle or round handle. Handles with oval shape offer you the benefit of strength which inturn helps you to reduce the shock created when you hit the ball, but it is harder to grip the bat with the oval handle especially with the bottom hand. If you are a person who likes to hold the bat with the bottom hand then the oval handle bats are not your cup of tea, you need to look for the round shaped handle. The round shaped handles will help you to lift the balls while striking it.

Sweet spot: the next aspect which has to be considered is the location of the sweet spot. Sweet spot is found in the rounded tip of the blade which is referred as the toe. The sweet spot is located at four to twelve inches from the toe in an average bat. The sweet spot is used in a wide variety of places for hitting the shots.

Size: Next you need to decide on the size of the bat; this has to be decided based on your height. You can easily know this by leaning on the bat against your front leg
