Cricket is a bat and ball game originated from England. There are two teams each consisting for eleven players. The first team bats, tries to score as many runs as possible without getting dismissed, while the other team does the bowling and fielding, and tries to dismiss the other team’s batsmen in order to limit the scored runs. Then the team that was doing bowling and fielding will do batting and the batting team will do bowling and fielding. The new team tries to outscore the other team.

It is important to have fast reflexes while keeping good front foot and back foot defense. A good foot defense is helpful when playing with spinners and fielders. A back foot defense is useful in facing fast bowlers who pitch the ball short.
Fielders must be alert to stop the ball from the field. They must chase the ball and race towards the field’s boundary. There are times when the fielder should jump in the air and catch the fast speeding ball. Fielders must be alert in stopping the ball and racing towards the boundary. To become a good fielder, he must concentrate on the movement of the ball and try to judge in advance the batsman’s movement so that he can move with the direction of the speeding ball.
A person who bowls requires stamina, natural ability, good technique and practice. The basic grip requires keeping the ball with the index and middle fingers. The side of the thumb must rest on the seam underneath the ball.
